"Pray for kings and all who are in authority [high positions], that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way." 1 Timothy 2:2
ATLANTA, GA, December 18, 2015 | Christian News Service | -- Just a week away from Christmas, on December 17, 2015 in the "wee hours of the morning," what Jesus described in Mark as "a great while before day," I had a dream. The Williams-King Family Legacy births "dreamers" in every generation. MLK is the most famous member of our legacy. Yet, for example, Daddy King's prophetic dreams, one of which included seeing me three years before my conception in 1950, saved and redirected many lives during his lifetime.
In 2007 for instance, I had a dream of Senator Barack Hussein Obama, which led me to understand that he would become President of the United States. Well, on December 17, 2015 I dreamed again of the President. The audio of the dream is a "rough draft" coming awake from sleep.
What is resonating from this dream is the reality that America must turn away from "king making", and president making, and politician making practices, and ask God to heal and save our land. In the "new" dream about the President, my broken heart needed mending. Why I was in a place where Mr. Obama was part of this dream, God only knows.
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians . Remember, expressing love for one another and having good manners will take you far.
I have learned to pray for all leaders, regardless of faith denominations, religious affiliations, political persuasions, socio-economic status, whatever -- with the same "heart cry;" that God would touch them and guide them, whether I think they deserve it or not. After all, none of us deserved Jesus, and look at the John gift that God grants to every human being!
Think about it. Just looking at the Republican Presidential Election field, there are several leaders who have offered themselves as candidates. Among themselves, like anyone, they each have strengths and weaknesses. What is needed as people consider voting for them, is regardless of whichever ranks as a favorite, voters need to understand that destroying the reputation of one in order to promote the chances of another is a nasty, worldly way of thinking. We can have our "favorites" and vote for them. Yet we should be mindful to remain positive about others, just in case our chosen candidates don't win. In the battle over ideology, we should be prepared to support our values over our favorite personalities. This isn't a talent show or a beauty contest. There's so much at stake. Prayer is better than subterfuge.
Please let me share a prayer with you right now: "Heavenly Father, bless every soul who sees, reads, hears or otherwise touches this message today. During this Christmas season, let not one feel lonely. If there is a celebration with friends and family; or a little corner of their world with just them and You, let Your Love always prevail against the gates of hell for them. Thank You for Your love towards us, Your Creation. In Jesus Name, Amen.
